About HANAH Hero Michelle Parker
One of the industry’s most versatile and dominant skiers today, Michelle got her start as a ski racer at her home resort of Squaw Valley, California at a young age. To this day, Michelle has appeared in over a dozen ski films and she won Best Female Performance for her segment in Matchstick Productions’ “Superheroes of Stoke” at the Powder Video Awards and the International Freeski Film Festival. Michelle is on the board of the High Fives Foundation, which helps injured athletes, and she helped launched a women’s avalanche safety clinic, SAFE-AS (Skiers Advocating and Fostering Education for Avalanche and Snow Safety) which has now gone co-ed. In the past couple of years she has been creating and starring in the series ORIGINATE, which showcases herself and many extreme skiers and outdoor enthusiasts living their best lives in the backcountry. Watch season one and the newest season two here. She also never leaves home without her ukulele.
Michelle Parker’s HANAH New Normal
“What goes into your body and mind is what you get out of your body and mind. It is a cycle and as an athlete who is focused on performance I’ve noticed when small positive changes have been made, whether it be quicker recovery or more focus and mental clarity. I am conscious of what may have benefited that process or what didn’t serve me — it’s a constant effort to understand what works best.
I’ve been curiously introducing the various HANAH products into my daily routine and I am thoroughly enjoying seeing the positive changes that I’ve experienced with them, including a stronger immune system and a clear and focused mind. Coupled with a more focused mental practice, I have certainly felt a quantum leap in how I perform in the pursuit of my passion both in the mountains and in life.” – Professional freeskier and HANAH Hero Michelle Parker

Their focus has stayed true to the vision of developing belts that provide a better fit, amazing comfort and the right amount of flexibility to move with you. Each Arcade belt is built to perform equally well from climbing, skating, snowboarding and skiing to biking or fishing. By reinventing a seemingly simple piece of equipment to be more useful and better suited for elite athletes, travelers, and road trip ramblers alike, they were able to create belts that can go everywhere and anywhere without letting you or your pants down.
Black Crows Skis– 1 set of ski poles
- Black Crows is an independent freeski brand from Chamonix, France. Founded in 2006 by pro freeskiers Camille Jaccoux and Bruno Compagnet, Black Crows was born out of a desire to collide beauty and efficiency into skis. They create obsessively design driven objects that are uncompromising in performance and identity for contemporary skiing and aim for the pleasure of the senses through freedom and adventure. They believe that ski culture is a window to the world.
Goldie, Michelle's photo collection book
-
A photography collection from Michelle’s travels in one book. All proceeds go to POW.
Backcountry ski maps– 3 ski touring maps of Tahoe
- Tahoe based company striving to make the easiest to use, all-in-one backcountry ski touring maps on the market. A place where you can find all the route information you need on one piece of paper: just take a look at the map, find a zone that fits your needs (and the current avalanche conditions), read a little about the zone on the back of the map, and get out into the white room. Now you’ve got a one-stop-shop to find everything from low-angle pow-day trees to rarely skied and ultra-steep couloirs. Our hope is that by helping people find the right lines, our maps can inspire more people to get out into the backcountry hooting and hollering and collecting faceshots.
Donation to POW– $1,000 included
- Patagonia Action Works doubling HANAH’s $500 toward Protect Our Winters climate change initiatives. Let’s give a flake!
